Paul W. Hillier
(As it is written on all of his ID)
Montreal, November of 77, Lakeshore
general hospital our hero makes his debut. The Eldest
of 4 siblings Paul’s leadership qualities were
apparent early on leading him and his sibling followers
in to more then a healthy share of trouble. And trouble
as we all know is another word for adventure. Wether
it be exploring the surrounding islands or braving
the greatest horrors of the principles office. Still
ours protagonist soon found the surrounding islands
of Montreal to grow stagnant and for the first in
his life felt the need for something bigger, something
more out of life.
Thus he ventured off to finish his
elementary school education on the Atlantic coast
of Canada settling on the bustling port of Halifax
where he learned of the great joys of sea side restaurants
and the epic adventures in building sand castles at
the beach. And for a time life was good but soon our
champion felt that pull, that nagging feeling that
there was still more “something” out there.
So after a short stint in Florida Paul returned to
Montreal to wrap up unfinished business.
High School was Paul’s next great
adventure, Even though he was an active member of
the wrestling, cross country running and karate clubs
Paul’s discovered his true calling in the art
room while listening to the Pulp Fiction soundtrack…
the Teacher. Interested in the idea that a picture
is worth a thousand words Paul created grand stories
on canvas. It was later during a trip to New York
City that the nagging feeling in the back of his mind
started up again. There were still greater things
to come.
And thus Paul moved to the largest
city in Canada, Toronto. Accepted in to the prestigious
illustration program at Sheridan and surrounded by
opportunity at every corner Paul entered in to his
Renaissance period. Dabbling in everything from literature
to photography it was in Sheridan’s cultural
diversity that would help shape his future adventures
for years to come. Even after graduating and becoming
enormously successful in the visual arts world Paul
continued to study the way of the world from the Japanese
language and culture to traveling the great Rocky
Mountains.
Even with enough adventure behind him
to fill volumes of brick sized books to entertain
and educate his fellow humans to years to come there
is that nagging feeling pulling on him in the back
of his mind, Stay tuned boys and girls, the next adventure
is not far off. And wether it be saving the world
from visual mediocrity to teaching young ones the
joys of the English language in far off lands you
can be sure it won’t be the last adventure.
